A Black and White Approach

Fashion rule for short girls: No wearing of cropped pants such as culottes, Capri pants and pedal pusher because it will make you look shorter.

That rule is optional, all fashion rules are optional. I like defying and breaking rules for me to see what I can and cannot wear. As fashion evolved and Korean style become a mainstream fashion staple, over-sized everything is the new trend, hence, culottes as a baggy Capri pants became a must wear fashion style. I like looking at Korean girls working their oversize fashion. I am not into experimenting to over-sized tops, jackets and coat because of my height but I made an exception for culottes because nothing is more comfortable than wearing loose clothing that does not constrict blood flow to your legs. In my own personal opinion, I have no problem wearing cropped pants. Sure it does make me look a bit shorter than I already am, but with proper pairing and styling anyone can pull off just any style.

These photos were taken on our first day tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Everytime I travel, I always make sure that I don’t compromise comfort over style and vice versa. I decided to tone down a bit from my signature floral ensemble and went monochrome for that day.

So what do you think about this style?
