Alya Skin Ultimate Skincare Bundle Review

I have always been fond of Alya Skin. When they started, they were only selling the pink clay mask, which I’ve got to try and immediately liked right off the bat. This is the exact same story to other people who have tried their mask, hence Alya Skin has expanded and they are now offering exfoliator and moisturizer along with their classic Australian pink clay mask.

Today, I am going to review the Alya Skin Ultimate Skincare Bundle (Native Berries Moisturiser, Pomegranate Facial Exfoliator, and Pink Clay Mask). The bundle also include Alya Skin Bamboo Face Towel. As per bundle instruction, we have to follow the recommended steps for optimum effect, which is as follows:

Step 1:
Apply the Exfoliator to the T-Zone area of your face on a DAILY BASIS. Rub gently in circular motions.
Step 2:
Apply Pink Clay Mask
Step 3:
Apply the moisturiser to the T-Zone area of your face on a DAILY BASIS.

Notice how they emphasize that customers should use the exfoliator and moisturizer on the daily basis, that is because, on their study, those who are suffering from skin problems get the best result of the product when they use it on a daily basis.

Pomegranate Facial Exfoliator

Description: Facial Exfoliator uses pomegranate seed powder to deeply exfoliate your skin. Reduces skin inflammation and assists in removing eczema and acne. Contains antioxidants that are amazing for skin’s health. Tightens pores and gives smooth skin.

Verdict: For me personally, I do not exfoliate daily because it might do harm than good. Exfoliation removes dead skin but doing it daily can irritate skin since it will also remove healthy skin in the process. As per Alya skin instruction, you can use the Pomegranate Facial Exfoliator on your T-zone area only. However, it will also be up to you if your entire face needed exfoliation. You know your skin and you know when is exfoliation needed. Why did Alya Skin emphasize the T-zone area? Your T-zone is the oiliest part of your face which means the production of sebum increases dead skin build-up so exfoliating that area will allow skin regeneration.

The bead of this exfoliator is a bit harsh so I made sure I am scrubbing my face gently. Paying close attention to my nose area and forehead because it is where I get the most white and blackheads. As a first time user of this exfoliator, I was amazed that after using it, I can really feel that it did not scape off my face moisture. It was soft and supple and because it uses natural ingredients my face did not turn red or become sensitive. I highly recommend this exfoliator but be mindful of how you scrub your face because of the beads.

Pink Clay Mask and Bamboo Face Towel

Description: Kaolin clay removes toxins, pollutants, and nasties from the skin. Helps to remove pigmentation clusters from skin’s surface, as well as stimulate regeneration of skin cells. Reduces skin inflammation and assists in removing eczema and acne. Contains antioxidants that are amazing for the health of your skin. Tightens pores and gives smooth skin. Provides anti-aging like effect and tones the skin. Speeds up the healing of pimples. Detoxifies skin from all the nasty pollutants that come in contact with the skin, keeping it fresh and healthy.

Verdict: Australian Pink Clay Mask is the ultimate pampering every working girl needs. I applied it after exfoliating my face with the Pomegranate Facial Exfoliator. It felt cold which gave my tired face soothing effect. Waited 10 minutes for it to dry before removing using the Bamboo Face Towel that is included in the bundle. The first thing that I noticed is the pinkish glow on my face. It did not dry my skin, my pores got smaller and my face felt softer and squeaky clean. I love the effect of this product on me.

As for the Bamboo Face Towel, it is very gently to the face. It is made of 85% bamboo fiber and 15% cotton so this is exactly what you want to use to remove the dried mask. What I do so I won’t be abrasing my skin is, I wet the towel with warm water and put it on my face for few seconds, enough for the dried mask to soften before I remove it. If after masking you feel like your face stings or hot, you can wet the towel with cold water so that this time it will be soothing to your face.

Native Berries Moisturiser

Description: Contains bioactive complex of 3 Australian Super Berries that restructures and repairs the skin. Pepperberry: Rich in antioxidants. Riberry: Contains Vitamin E & anthocyanins. Muntries: Rich in anthocyanin. Contains Vitamin C, packed with antioxidants which helps the anti-aging process of your skin. Contains Sweet Almond Oil, Macadamia Seed Oil and Shea Butter to deeply moisturise and replenish the skin.

Verdict: I seldom see products with ingredients that contains everything that our skin needs, so I am glad Alya Skin was able to put it all together in one moisturizer. It feels light on the skin, gets absorbed easily, which gave it a good finish ready for makeup application. I love how gently it is, but I’ve noticed that due to harsh winter weather in Canada, I have to reapply later in the day to prevent my skin from drying. This will definitely be perfect for the rest of the season except the Canadian winter.

Overall, I am very pleased and happy with this set. If you have sensitive skin and can’t seem to find a product that works for you, give this one a try.
