Blooming with Memories
My blog title is so apt with the fashion outfit that I will be sharing today. I wore this on our third day in Bali, Indonesia. I have a lot of good memories in Bali, it is by far the most beautiful place I’ve been to and I can’t wait to share the Part 2 with you guys. I am having a hard time squeezing in photo editing and creating draft for my content for that travel series, but I promise to make it soon.
I’ve got news. I am going to take a time off from blogging and being in social media to focus on myself and to do the things that I want to do such as; to read the books that I am due to read, to travel locally and internationally, to catch up with friends, and to just be human. We live in a digital world where you get to question if people are even being honest with themselves and to others or if we are still getting real connection with people aside from being Facebook friends with them. We fail to appreciate sceneries with our own eyes because the moment we snapped the picture, we are already doing our real time edits and filters. I feel old for saying this but I miss the old times. I didn’t have my first cellphone until the age of 14, so all messages are sent by mail, even love letters from High School flames. Date with a boy is arranged by friends who were able to relay message in a small piece of paper that says, “See you under the Mahogany tree after class”. I love the evolution of camera because they made it even more convenient and economical by not buying and developing the film. I am the girl who always carry her camera and love taking pictures. I have an old Canon camera that is double A battery operated with film back in high school that was given to me by my Aunt. I use to see my dad once a month and he would hand me a 32 shots film and I will hand over the used 32 shots film ready to be developed. I also love the evolution of computers because it allowed us to do research in just few clicks compared to the manual library research where you have to deal with grumpy librarian and a no eating policy in the library. How about kindle and other portable devices for book reading? I like that too, but I always liked the hard copy.
My break from blogging is not permanent, I will come back from time to time to give you updates and let you know I am alive. I still have blogs to post before the longer break. I just need to reconnect with the world and to not be slave from the digital world we are living in.
