Singapore: Garden’s by the Bay
Right after our 4 days tour in Bali, we went back to the Philippines but had a short layover in Singapore. I intentionally booked the flight to Singapore because first, direct flight to the Philippines from Bali is expensive whereas, if we take the route to Singapore it is a lot cheaper, and second, I want my mom and sister to see Gardens by the Bay, which is my most favorite spot in Singapore.
We arrived in Singapore at 4 PM, however, due to the long immigration queue and some luggage arrangement issue, we were not able to leave the airport until after 7 PM. When we arrived at Gardens by the Bay, the light show was already over and we already felt the exhaustion brought about by long flights and airport stay within that day. However, I was euphoric to be back to show my mom and sister what I love about Singapore. It is exactly the same as how I saw it the first time 3 years ago (which I also blogged, click here to see). Memories came flooding back and I can’t help not to reminisce how special this place is to me.
Gardens by the Bay is a huge, colorful, futuristic park in the bay area of Singapore. We had an amazing time walking around the Supertree Grove enjoying the colorful lights, just like being in the set of Avatar. Then after, we marveled the magnificent view of Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer. I would have wanted them to see the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest but we already run out of time.
Before we head back to the airport, we had our Japanese dinner in Marina Bay Sands and went window shopping on brands we know we cannot afford. Lol
Inside the Changi Airport, I saw this huge Hello Kitty structure. Since it is my favorite cartoon character when I was young, I cannot miss the chance of not having this photo taken.
This is the end of my Asian tour for 2018. The next travel blog that I will be posting will be the 1000 Island Cruise that we had last summer.
