It’s been a long time since I last posted my blog. Blame it to my French exam followed by a panic-stricken earthquake of 7.2 magnitude that hit Cebu and believe me we’ve experienced 2 days of aftershock.
Moving on, my blog today is in connection with my last blog Queen of the race track. I and my friends went to Kartzone for another adventure. Yes, not only we love eating, videoke and kinect, but we also love adventures. Living in Cebu City will allow you to experience all kinds of adventures, from riding the edge coaster and trying the Skywalk in Crown regency to zip lining in Doce Pares and now karting in Kartzone, we are indeed adventurous people.
This is the kart track. It is a 550 meters track for 1 lap. You will surely enjoy one hell of a ride here.
This is the counter if you want to enlist for the ride. Honestly, I was shocked by another price increase. I being a kart fanatic have been here a lot of times for 4 years now. The first time I tried karting was last 2009 for 300php/8 laps then it increased for 350php/8laps the following year, and now they increased again for 400php/8 laps. I do understand that almost everything have already increased, but I believe this should be the last time that they should increase their price because if they will increase it again, I don’t think it’s going to be worth it. (Voice of a customer).
This is a smooth asphalted track with safety barricades all around. For first timers, they will not be allowed to ride the kart until they will be oriented with the kart rules inside their office. That is the one thing that I like here because customers safety is their main priority.
There will also be a Marshall that will man beside track. He will hold the flag and signals the karter on what to do and karter must pay attention with this:
Yellow Flag – hazard up ahead. That means you will need to slow down your speed.
Red Flag – race has been stopped. You will need to return to the pit and instruction will be given.
Blue Flag – there is a fast driver behind. You are advised to move to the left and let them by.
Black/White Flag – warning for your dangerous driving. For that, you will need to calm down or you will receive a Red Flag.
Chequered Flag – indicates end of session.
I have already memorized these rules by heart. That is because I already received a Black/White flag before. Lol.
This is my favourite kart. I hope I can request for this all the time because I really love the color, but since all kart have been lined up, what you will get will the next available kart. Back in 2010, me and my ex-flame has been a valued customers here that we were already given the privilege to drive their fast karts. It was during those times that I received Black/White flag as well.
Karters enjoying their ride.
I am feeling great! Waiting in line for my turn.
My kart buddies, my Lab Joann and Jenifer.
We haven’t worn our helmets yet for the sake of pictures, but of course before you take off, there will be a Marshall that will check on you and your kart for safety and if you are free to race.
Ended up a winner. Lol. I so love adrenaline rush, I am born with it and it is running through my veins. I remembered joining an unprofessional kart race in Manila, I was the only girl who joined the race, with 7 other men. I ended up 7th, not bad atleast I am ahead on one of the men racer. They are soo good, I felt like I joined a death race.
The trophy by the way is for photo purposes only. You cannot take it home with you. Lol.
