Belated Happy Valentines day everyone! My Facebook wall was full of Valentines post of happy couples and girls receiving flowers and presents from their man. I was one lucky girl as well so I can totally relate. To those who doesn’t have boyfriend or girlfriend, better luck next year. Lol. But seriously, Valentines day is not just for lovers, but also for families and friends that you love. I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines celebration.
If you remembered my previous post, I list down 10 questions that are commonly being asked about my blogging life. So here’s the continuation of my blogaversary Q&A. Another 10 questions answered.
1. Did you have any professional help or did you created the blog yourself?
I created the blog myself. Prior to creating one, I read a lot of blogs and studied the nature of blogging, what to write and what photos to post. I did not had any professional help when it comes to blogging.
2. Would you encourage other people to make their blog?
Yes, if it is their passion. Don’t just blog for the sake of earning because trust me it is not that easy. If you are blogging to get rich, then you are blogging for the wrong reason.
3. Is blogging your profession or just a hobby?
It is just a hobby. I have a full time job in a BPO company.
4. Who was your first style icon?
Audrey Hepburn. I have a CD collection of her movies and I fell in love with her classic sophisticated style.
5. Who takes the majority of your photos?
My boyfriend, Stanley. He was the one who endured so much demands from me when it comes to lighting and angles. He is very patient with me and that is what I love so much about him.
6. What would you say is the biggest challenge about fashion blogging?
It’s always the making and behind the scenes. People see a perfect picture but what they don’t realize is the process of getting that perfect picture. First off, I prepare the outfit the night before the shoot, complete with accessories, shoes and bag. Second, hair and make up, I do it myself too. I spend an hour and half with make up and styling my hair. Third is the photoshoot. There are a lot of factors to consider; the weather, background and location. If it’s too hot, its really difficult because make up will melt (yes, literally). Background needs to be atleast clean or interesting. Location is always a problem. I’ve been chased a lot by security guards specially in IT Park because I do photoshoots in establishments that are private and photoshoots are prohibited. Too many photoshoot nightmares to mention. So you see, it is not glitz and glamour all the time with fashion blogging.
7. What would you say is the greatest satisfaction of being a fashion blogger?
When I get to be invited in fashion shows and events and sitting in the front row, meet influential people in fashion industry and learning from them.
8. Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
Yes. It’s my rule not to wear more than 3 colors at a time . I would go crazy!
9. What’s your next fashion must have?
A Valentino Garavani shoes. It’s my dream of getting a pair of that strappy studded nude heels.
10. What’s the one wardrobe essential you can’t live without?
Accessories. It can totally transform a boring outfit into an interesting one.
Thanks for dropping by everyone! I will be posting my last blogaversary Q&A next time.
