Topbox is a Canadian subscription box and currently the subscription box that I super love. So today, I will be giving my honest review of what I think about the products that I received from their February 2018 box. The box arrived on time, but my review is late.

Name of the Box: Topbox

Cost: $12 CAD + tax (free shipping)

What you will get: Each month, subscribers will get four beauty samples. Samples can range from skincare, bodycare, makeup, haircare and fragrance. The samples are from prestige brands. Some of these brands are well known and others are newly launched or small and niche.

Unlike most subscription boxes, Topbox don’t provide leaflets with product information, instead they send the information through email.

Here comes the products!

The Face Shop MASK.LAB Anti-Aging Foil Face Mask 25g – $4
The dual-structured sheet, covered with a layer of powerful foil, prevents the anti-aging essence from evaporating and allows it to effectively absorb into skin to make it firmer.

I love this face mask! It is rich with hydrating power. It feels like my skin had the best drink of its life. Since I always do my mask before going to bed, I woke up with beautiful radiance and I feel super good about it.

Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Eyebrow Pencil (Shade 3) Mini – $17
This ultra-fine eyebrow pencil draws incredibly natural-looking, hair-like strokes. A few strokes of the rich yet blendable colour will transform brows from shapeless & undefined to filled & defined eyebrows.

Benefit Cosmetics have the best brow products from gel to pencils, so when I received a brow pencil from this box, I was delighted. Shade 3 is medium brown color, still a bit dark for my blonde hair to match but there is no brown brow pencil that a blonde brow gel cannot mask so I am fine with it. I just have to update my profile to change my hair to blonde so they’ll send me products suitable for my hair color. I already did with Ipsy, but I forgot with Topbox.

LARITZY Cosmetics Eye Pencil (Full Size) – $18
A dramatic and bold eye pencil designed for a flawless application.

I got mine in platinum which is what I’ve been looking for long time ago. I’ve been watching make up tutorial videos and platinum eye liner makes the eye pop with teary eyed effect and that sold me over. I’m glad I got one on this box!

Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Luminous Shampoo 50mL- $7.28
Light moisturizing shampoo leaves the hair deeply cleansed and luminous.

Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Luminous Conditioner 30mL – $6.14
30-second smoothing conditioner that locks moisture in, leaving the hair luminous and smooth.

I love getting shampoo and conditioner combo in subscription boxes because they’re always in travel size which is good when I am traveling but I actually can’t say that it gives me any noticeable effect. My hair is still full of volume ala Hermione Granger, frizzy and all over the place. I can’t be a shampoo model for sure. It only gets tamed with hair crème so I’ll say the advantage of this product for me is only when I am traveling.

Total Product Value: C$52.42

Amount paid for this subscription: C$12.00 + tax

How much I saved: C$40.42

Conclusion: I don’t consider this box as the best I’ve received from Topbox but it always exceed my expectation. I read a lot of negative reviews about them from other customers who are not satisfied with what they receive, but with mine I have nothing negative to say because there is always 1 to 3 items that I like in the box and I think that is good enough for me to be satisfied since I am only paying $12. It’s all worth it!
