Universal Studios Singapore Part 2
I owe you all an apology, I was not able to blog on July 11th for the part 2 of my Universal Studio Trip because of my birthday. Birthdays are the busiest day and after that I had a 7 straight days of work because I swapped rest days for my Manila trip. To everyone who were expecting the part 2 of the blog, I am so sorry but I can surely make it up to you all this time.
So to continue my journey to the happiest place on earth, we will now move to Ancient Egypt!
As soon as you will enter Ancient Egypt, you will be greeted by this huge Egyptian stone structure. There will surely be no need for you to travel to Egypt when you can see it all here!
The first ride that we tried is the Treasure Hunters. We drive a dessert jeep through an abandoned Egyptian excavation site. I admit this ride is boring and truly not worth the 1 hour waiting time.
I would really suggest for everyone to ride the Revenge of the Mummy instead. It is an indoor roller coaster ride wherein you will plunge into total darkness as you come face to face warrior mummies and scarab beetles. This is one of my favorite ride and you will surely feel a surge of adrenaline rush.
The guards outside Carter’s Curiosities store. They look friendly though.
And of course memorabilias.
Next is The Lost World. The haven for Jurassic Park fanatics.
I did not really like it in The Lost World, because it is very full with people everywhere. I’ve read in most blogs that people loves The Lost World and it is the highly recommended place in the entire USS. Maybe not by me because I am not a jungle lover kinda person. We didn’t really hang in there because the rides waiting time is almost 2 hours. But we did ride the Canopy flyer and Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. With Canopy Flyer, you will enjoy a prehistoric bird’s-eye view as you soar over Jurassic Park and with Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure you will enjoy a thrilling river raft ride through primeval dinosaur habitats, expect to get wet or maybe soaked with this ride.
The Dino-Soarin ride. We did not try it anymore because it is a ride for kids.
My boyfriends’ tired smile. He was just really disappointed because Lost World is a world of Impossibilities; impossible to get a ride and impossible to get a locker to keep things, we went to Sci-Fi City so we can use a locker.
Another disappointment is WaterWorld because it was closed during our visit.
But all my disappointments were gone when I laid eyes on the land Far Far Away. This is my most favorite place in the entire USS. I am a fairytale dreamer, I want to live in a castle, I love princesses and all beautiful things. I surely do not want to leave this place!
The first attraction that we tried is the Shrek 4-D Adventure where in you will see, hear and feel the action right from your seat as you join Princess Fiona & Shrek in a fairytale adventure.
Next is Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey, a suspended coaster adventure with Puss and Kitty on this anti-gravity, swashbuckling adventure.
I got obssessed with lamp posts here. Even this corner really looks picturesque.
Chillin at Ben & Jerry’s. I did not order an ice cream though. 🙂
Enchanted Airways is a junior roller coaster ride. I like this ride, not boring and not extreme.
The beautiful streets of Far Far Away.
Insert me here!
The other attractions at Far Far Away are Magic Potion Spin and Donkey Live.
Last but not the least is Madagascar.
This is the smallest of all parks in USS. People who loves tropical places will love it here. I am living in a tropical country so this is like ordinary to me.
We skipped King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round because the ride is for kids, it is a carousel ride.
But we did try the Madagascar: A Crate Adventure. It is a boat ride with Madagascar heroes Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria on the scene.
I hope you enjoyed this visual tour. My USS adventure doesn’t end here. I will definitely visit Universal Studios Osaka for me to see their Harry Potter park. Not next year but in the future.
